For ages women have been in search of the perfect beauty product. One that can reduce the appearance of fine lines eradicates acne, minimize redness, and create a smoother more vibrant complexion. So we walk up and down the beauty aisles reading labels, looking at price tags and wondering what the ingredients list says. We have no idea what is in it, but the label says dermatologist tested and we assume that means a Doctor somewhere says its safe to use. And we did see that A-List actress thats 45 years old say those arethe product she has been using to keep her looking so young, so it must work. Three months and $65.00 later, we see little to no change and in some cases an even worse complexion than what we originally started out with. But we keep pressing on in search of that wonder product that will make us feel beautiful.

Now, we are not only looking for that super product, but we want it all natural. We dont want the chemicals and harsh preservatives in it. We want something safe, that really works and wont cost a fortune. In the past couple of years there has been a buzz stirring around about products from the Dead Sea in Israel. Great all natural products that have been surrounded by mystery for 1000s of years. It is told that Cleopatra, the original super model, herself would pilgrimage to the sacred healing waters of the Dead Sea (her equivalent to our modern spa) to bath in the mud and cleanse in its salty waters.

Thousands of people every year still go to the Dead Sea in an attempt to heal what ails them. People that suffer from eczema, psoriasis, acne, arthritis and even cardiac disease bath in the waters and mud in hopes they will begin to heal. And guess what, many of them do. Those that return on to the waters on a regular basis do begin to feel and look better. Some psoriasis sufferers are said to have gone into remission within 6 months of their stay in the Dead Sea.

Why, what is so special about these waters that make them so much more beneficial than any other body of water in the world. Well, basically its the mineral content that makes it so special. There is no other body of water in the world that has a mineral content anywhere close to that of the Dead Sea. So when you add Dead Sea Salt to skin care or use the Dead Sea Mineral Mud as a mask, you receive the benefits of all those amazing minerals, each having its own task.

Sodium, magnesium, sulfur, bromide, potassium, zinc, calcium, iodine and bitumen are just a few of the mineral found in the Dead Sea and probably the most influential were skin care is concerned.

1. Sodium – most people already know sodium aka salt is a natural antiseptic (e.g. Rinsing your mouth out with salt water to help heal canker sores and gum infections)

2. Magnesium – Crucial for cell metabolism. Many people that undergo magnesium therapy see fine lines and wrinkles soften and fade (even in those laugh lines we all feel are hopeless). Magnesium also detoxifies your skin leaving it feeling clean and smooth. I swear you have never felt your skin as clean as you have after a Dead Sea Mud Facial and thats thanks to the magnesium. Perfect for those that suffers from acne.

3. Sulfur – Another antiseptic that kills the bacteria that leads to infection.

4. Iodine – What a wonderful anti-aging mineral. Without Iodine our bodies could not produce thyroxin. Our bodies need thyroxin for cell metabolism, this enables our skin absorb the nutrients needed to keep it hydrated. Dehydrated skin leads to dull sagging skin, age spots and wrinkles. If you have a moisturizer with magnesium and iodine in it, youre on the right track.

5. Bromide – Helps relieve stress and tension to delicate facial tissues.

6. Potassium – If you want to keep your skins moisture levels balanced them you will want a product that contains potassium. This helps increase blood flow to the skin which in turn promotes healthy skin cell growth.

7. Zinc – Aids in the healing process of acne and is also a mild astringent that helps shrink pores giving the skin a smoother complexion.

8. Calcium – Calcium cleans out the pores and is crucial for the growth of healthy connective tissues under the skins surface. This is one reason why milk bathes are so beneficial.

9. Bitumen – a natural anti-inflammatory. Great for acne sufferers.

There are not many skin care products out there that have all the benefits that Dead Sea Salt and Mud have, naturally. It almost sounds too good to be true. And if it is true why isnt everybody using it? Until recently it was only available in the most luxurious spas and the most elite stores. You have to realize, there is only one place in entire world that these products come from. One place where they are manufactured and shipped fromand that makes these products expensive. That is until recently. You can find Dead Sea Skin Care products in malls, department stores and online.

Most of them are still a bit pricey, but at least they are available. Isnt it better to pay $25.00 to $65.00 for something that is going to work as opposed to a $10.00 to $150.00 product full of chemicals and preservatives that may work? And please forget about the overnight miracle skin care cures, there are none. You want something that works, and then do your research. Find the right Dead Sea product and use them. And in about 4 weeks you are going to start to see a difference, naturally. And make sure to read the labels. If it has more ingredients that you cannot pronounce then you dont want it. For it to be a true Dead Sea Mineral product then the very first ingredients on the label should be Dead Sea Salt or Dead Sea Mud. If those are listed under inactive ingredients, dont waste your money. You would do best to buy straight Dead Sea Salt or Dead Sea Mud. Dont be fooled by more gimmicks loaded with chemicals and preservatives.

Using these products is so basic and there are several ways you can implement them. Try taking a nice warm Dead Sea Salt bath. You are going to feel all that stress and tension just fade away. You can make your own Dead Sea Salt scrubs. There are several recipes online that are simple to do. All you need are a few basic ingredients like honey or yogurt and you can add a pureed cucumber or aloe. The possibilities are endless. I prefer buying straight Dead Sea Mud. There is no better mask out there. It exfoliates the skin, cleanses it and shrinks pores all in one shot. All without one single chemical or additive. And if you want to help keep your hair strong and split end free, try putting the mud one the ends of your hair and let it dry, then wash and condition. Do this once a week and your will see less split ends. Now you should never use the mask more than twice a week. It is very strong and you do not want to make your skin over sensitive. And make sure you moisturize after, you should actually moisturize everyday twice a day but thats a different article. You may also see some redness after the first couple of uses. This is common for women because we use more products on our skin then men. The mud is working overtime trying to pull out all the toxins and bacteria left behind those other masks just cant get to. You may even feel a pulsating sensation as the mask dries. These products really let you know they are working.
