ANSWER KEY:

1. False: Applying a toner or soothing agent after shaving calms irritation, balances your skin’s moisture content and helps prevents ingrown hairs or clogged pores. Stay away from alcohol-based aftershaves and instead use hydrating products that contain Aloe and Azulene.

2. True: For maximum coverage, use a sunscreen with SPF of 15 or higher and full spectrum protection against UVA/UVB rays.

3. True: Most blades don’t stay sharp enough after 5 uses to closely shave hairs, causing you to put more pressure on the blade and go over the same area several times, leading to ingrown hairs or razor burn.

4. False: While men’s skin is thicker and can handle more abuse, facial skin is delicate and needs a gentler, less aggressive cleaning. Keep your washes separate and use a gentle cleanser for your face and tougher one for your body.

5. False: Washing many times when you have oily skin can sometimes trigger greater oil production, as the skin is trying to compensate for the constant removal of moisture via cleaning and drying. Take it easy on the cleaning and put hydration back in your skin by using a lightweight moisturizer or hydrating toner.

6. True: Hot water dries quickly on your skin’s surface and will unfortunately pull moisture from pores as it does so. A better bet is to take shorter, lukewarm showers and moisturize after stepping out of the tub.

7. Absolutely false: Although some men seem to be born with unbelievable complexions, great skin is something every man can work towards over time. By avoiding products with irritants and fragrances, following a basic men’s grooming and skincare routine and paying attention to any problems that come up, you too can maintain a healthy face and body (and just tell people it’s genetic).

If you’re in your 30’s or beyond and would like to know how you can reverse aging and have your skin get the same glow it did when you were twenty-something, you’re going to like what I have to say – you CAN reverse aging and you CAN get that glow back!
Our skin naturally sheds every 28 days. With age, this process slows which causes dull, tired looking skin. The daily use of exfoliants along with Copper Peptide products dissolves dead, flakey skin cells, stimulates collagen production, greatly reduces lines and wrinkles, builds elasticity, normalizes your skin, corrects sun damage and age spots, reduces pore size, evens out skin tone and gets rid of acne! If your skin is continually exfoliated, it’s forced to create new cells – at a rate it did before the 28 day cycle started to slow. If you can make your skin act younger, it looks younger.

Here’s The PROVEN Way To Do It:

Cleanse With A Microfiber Facial Cloth and water. There is no need to use a cleanser with it, in fact, a facial cleanser will provide added “slip” and you won’t get the full benefits of the exfoliation that microfiber delivers. PLUS you won’t disturb the PH levels in your skin. If cared for properly, they last years which will save you a lot of money on other cleansers. They’re great for all skin types too. You’ll notice a difference the first time you use it. Microfiber is a powerful exfoliation tool – I’ve never seen anything like it!

Next Step Is An Exfoliating Serum. Exfoliating serums dissolve dead skin cells. I prefer it in a gel form since “grainy” exfoliators can tear your delicate skin and provide uneven exfoliation.

Use A Proven Anti-Aging Serum. Copper Peptide is by far the best anti-aging product available. Known for it’s age reversal ability, Copper Pepide comes in different strengths, but it’s very important to start with the mildest version (CP Serum) and work your way up to Super Cop X2 (the strongest Copper Peptide available).

Follow Up With A Moisturizer. A moisturizer that attracts and binds water to the skin is your best bet. Look for ingredients like Hylauronic Acid, Squalane and/or Sodiuim PCA (Hylauronic Acid offers the added benefit of skin firming). Avoid using heavy, synthetic ingredients since they’ll clog your pores and and weight them down which causes sagging.

Finish with An SPF. Exfoliated skin is new skin and must be protected from damaging UVA/UVB rays. Remember that UVA (A=Aging) rays go through glass, fluorescent lighting, computer screens and clouds. If you refuse to use an SPF, please don’t exfoliate! I can’t stress the importance of this enough. Look for an SPF 30 with added anti-oxidants and other anti aging ingredients like Retinol, Alpha Lipoic Acid and Argireline.

To date, this method can’t be beat. If something comes along that’s proven better, I’ll be writing about it!
