You are probably reading this because you realized that changing your eating habits might have an effect on the way your skin looks. This is half true. Eating junk food and all the wrong foods will eventually cause your skin to deteriorate. But when it comes to healthy ways to eat to improve skin, the problem is different. Can you eat something and make your skin look better?

If you want a quick and honest answer, here it is: the condition of your skin can’t be improved drastically with any type of diet.

Even so, you don’t have to start eating anything and hope for the best. As I said before, what you eat can’t make things better, but it will surely make your skin worse. If you have a normal skin, not perfectly healthy, but without any major problems, you can keep it at this level with the right foods.

Starting to eat unhealthy food will make your skin get worse. This generally means that you should avoid fast food, the same type of meal over and over again and soft carbonated drinks. You should already know that fruits, vegetables and natural drinks are the perfect ingredients to a relatively good skin condition. But what if you have a skin problem like acne or wrinkles? Are there are solutions for you? Of course.

Besides eating healthy food, you should start searching for natural creams. There are a few good ways to begin. For example, always start your search on the internet. This type of search takes only a few minutes and you can get a lot of reliable information. After that, never look at a skin care product which contains chemicals.

Natural ingredients can really turn your life around. Learn more about a few ingredients such as Cynergy TK, coenzyme Q10 and Wakame online and after that you can start searching for a skin care product which contains them. If you find one, you will see great results in only a few days.

In conclusion, there are no healthy ways to eat to improve skin drastically, but there are natural skin care creams which will change your life forever.

Many people suffer with oily skin care problems and sometimes moisturisers and anti aging remedies can make the problem worse.

Oily skin is an outcome of excessive secretion of sebum by the skin. Sebum is naturally produced to help keep the skin supple but too much can clog pores and prevent the elimination of toxins from the skin.

If pores become clogged and remain that way for any length of time then the result is pimples, spots and possibly acne.

Many of the treatments for these conditions involves drying out the affected area to try to remove the excess sebum but this can be equally damaging.

In some cases acne can leave scarring and it is therefore better to try and prevent it from occurring in the first place.

Simple steps can be taken to clear skin and promote general health. These steps are to ensure that an adequate amount of water is drunk each and everyday and consider adding plenty of brightly coloured fruits and vegetables to your balanced diet.

These two steps alone could make a difference to your skin and will definitely add to your general well-being.

The biggest thing to consider is what oily skin care product will work best for you?

It is important to look for a product that will not clog your pores but is effective at looking after your skin and if possible providing an anti aging action.

The ingredients to consider carefully should be natural ones as these have the best chance of ticking all your skin care needs boxes. Traditional skin care products contain ingredients that could actually be harmful to your skin in the long term.

There is a skin care range that claims to be suitable for all types of complexion from dry to oily and it contains only natural ingredients. In fact it contains a substance called maracuja which is a special passion fruit extract that is unique to Brazil.

This substance is very close to the structure of human skin and has the ability to regulate the production of sebum preventing your skin from becoming too oily or too dry.

Babassu wax is extracted from the kernel of the babassu palm native to the Amazon area of Brazil and is used to provide moisturising properties for this particular skin care range.

It is very light and moisturising and coats the skin without clogging pores to help retain moisture and prevent dirt and grime from gathering.

Crodamol OP is a light emollient that help to keep your skin supple. It softens and smoothes your skin but doesnt clog pores.

All these ingredients are included in this skin care range because of their beneficial properties for all skin types. When you are looking for an oily skin care product then you couldnt do better than to choose products containing these ingredients.

Now that you know this you may want to know more about this incredible range so visit my website where you will find more information about the ingredients used. You will be glad you did.

These days many consumers treat synthetic ingredients in their skin care as potentially harmful, and so they should.
If you are asking yourself whether natural skin care products are the answer to all your skin care problems? The answer is a definite Yes. I have not come across a single skin problem that cannot be addressed equally well using natural skin care products as using any other types. Admittedly, Ive only been in practice for just over 20 years, however, so far I have yet to see a skin condition that cannot be treated using a natural approach, excluding of course emergency medical conditions such as severe 3rd degree burns over large parts of the body, etc.
In an article I can across recently, entitled Are Natural Skin Care Products the Answer To All Problems?, the author asks the following questions:

So, are natural skin care products the answer to all of our problems? What if a natural skin care product is not available for the treatment of a particular skin disorder? Are the synthetic skin care products so harmful that they should be banned?

The answer is No natural skin care products do not fix all of our problems. Maybe the author should have asked …so, are natural skin care products to answer to all our skin care problems? – then the answer would have still been No, and neither do any other skin care products on the market today – natural or otherwise.
Not all skin problems can be treated using some topical application – Many diseases such as measles, chickenpox, herpes and many more are diseases, which as part of their symptomatology, have a skin component. To think that using natural skin care products or for that matter a synthetically formulated skin care product could treat this types of conditions is ludicrous.
Sure, combine your internal medication (natural or drug-based) with a good quality, natural skin care product to address the itching, irritation and redness, etc., but dont think for one moment that a skin care products is going to effect the chickenpox virus or any other infectious disease.
Similarly, skin problems just like any other long-term disorder have a multi-faceted complexity and require a systemic approach to treatment.
If on the other hand we are simply referring to dry, oily, mature or sensitive skin, than there is no need for synthetic chemicals. Nor is this the case in the treatment of dermatitis, psoriasis or similar conditions, unless they are of a genetic origin – then there is very little that can be done other than symptom control, which natural skin care products can do just as well as any synthetic equivalent, if not better.
You see most mass-produced skin care products, whether they are 100% natural skin care products or have a synthetic component, will not work on any condition that has an internal disease process involved. For example a hormonal imbalance may cause acne. This acne will persist until the hormonal imbalance is corrected.
Similarly, viral infections can cause skin rashes and they will persist until the viral infection has been addressed. Again, sure use a topical ointment or cream for the rash and yes, make sure it is a natural skin care product, because you dont need to introduce more chemicals into the body, which it may have difficulty in utilising and/or eliminating.
In the same article, the answers to the above questions states:

Different people have different answers to these questions. However, the reality is that due to presence of synthetic preservatives, its really tough to find a natural skin care product that is 100% natural. There are natural skin care products that have natural preservatives, but their cost might be detrimental. Moreover, such natural skin products have a shorter shelf life and hence are not preferred by the manufacturers of natural skin care products.

Firstly, 100% natural skin care products are really not hard to find. There are dozens of companies that produce good quality, natural skin care products and they can be found using Yahoo, MSN or Google without much difficulty. Yes, they can be expensive, but they are no more expensive than similar, products containing synthetic chemicals produced by major brands such as LOreal, Lanc๔me, and others. In fact, most are a lot less costly.
Secondly, just because a natural skin care product has a natural preservative does not make them any more expensive. I should know, as we make a large range of natural skin care products and have done so for over 20 years. We supply customers all over the world, as well as our own patients, and over 80% of our customers have been long-term customers. Some of our products use natural preservatives such as Grape seed Oil or Wheat Germ Oil and neither of these oils are very pricey.
In addition, Essential oils are some of the most powerful antiseptic substances around, some are also have powerful antibiotic properties and if used correctly, they will preserve natural skin care products for at least 2 to 3 years without any trouble. Furthermore, many of our natural skin care and personal care product contain herbal extracts. Herbal extracts are by nature alcoholic and alcohol is a very good preservative. So you see, good quality natural skin care products do not need to have preservatives (synthetic ones) added to them.
This author further states:

Some people carry a wrong notion that since natural skin care products are natural, they cannot cause any harm to the skin. The suitability of a skin care product is not based on whether it is synthetic or natural. An unsuitable natural skin care product can harm you in almost the same way as a synthetic one. So, use natural skin care products, but be open to synthetic ones too (you might need them when a natural solution is not available)

Sure, we all know that nature produces powerful substances and some of these are the most potent killers if we are exposed to them – strychnine is an example that comes to mine, but any substance found in nature has the potential to create problems, some more serious than other. Why else would herbalist have to be trained for years if you could take any old tea and drink it to your hearts content?
Many people have allergies to all sorts of chemicals (I mean naturally occurring ones as well as synthetic ones). However, that is not the products fault, these people unfortunately for them have a hypersensitivity to particular substances and their immune system needs to be treated. DONT use a synthetic substitute – the natural substances are just as powerful as synthetic chemicals, why do you think is it that modern medicine still uses morphine-based drugs to treat severe pain? – there is no synthetic substitute that is more powerful a pain killer.

Natural skin care products that have been properly formulated to target a specific skin care need, are safer, usually more effective and cost no more than their synthetic counter parts.
When ever you choose to buy a new product which you use on your skin be it a natural one or not, you should consider the following:

Always look at the ingredient list and see if there are any to which you may be allergic.
Before you start using a product apply a small area of your skin first to see if you have any undesirable reaction. You may be allergic to something in the product, which you are not aware of and this may or may not be a natural substance.
Know what the product does and what it is indicated for before you buy it.
Choose products to suit your skin type and your skins needs.
If you are not sure, ask the manufacturer, write them an email or ring them up and ask them to explain or help.

The Low Down On Skin Care Product Labeling

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration do not define the term natural or organic. In fact the U.S. Food and Drug Administration department (FDA) does not approve cosmetics before going to the market. The responsibility of the safety of the cosmetic lies with the manufacturer. Except for color additives and those ingredients which are prohibited or restricted by regulation, the manufacturer may use any ingredient in a cosmetic provided that they are safe and properly labeled and can coin numerous terms when marketing the cosmetic that may or may not be true. You can read more about the FDAs regulation of cosmetics at www.fda.gov. Understanding skin care labels can be quite intimidating, thus most people do not bother to read them. They take for granted that what is advertised on the front of the bottle to be true. For instance, a product is labeled natural and we assume that it is made from natural ingredients, whether it is botanicals, herbs, or marine substances such as seaweed. Below are common terms used in skin care product labeling: Alcohol Free: when we read this term we assume that the product contains no alcohol, and to the layman we assume a grain alcohol. However cosmetic products may contain other alcohols such as cetyl, stearyl, ceteryl or lanolin. Did you know the above ingredients were alcohol? These are known as fatty alcohols. Hypoallergenic: suggests that this cosmetic will not cause an allergic reaction. However, there are no clinical or scientific studies required substantiating this claim. Furthermore, the terms dermatologist-tested, sensitivity tested, allergy tested or nonirritating will not guarantee that you skin will not have an allergic reaction. Fragrance Free: most cosmetics have some fragrance added to them to cover any offensive odor from the raw materials used. However they are used in small quantities so that there is no noticeable scent. Natural: as stated above, natural implies that there are ingredients extracted from plants, animal products, and herbs. There is no basis or scientific fact that products containing natural ingredients are good for the skin, given the amount of natural ingredients in the product. Noncomodogenic: means the cosmetic does not contain common pore-clogging ingredients that could lead to acne. Shelf Life (Expiration Date): the amount of time for which a cosmetic product is good under normal conditions of storage and use, depending on the products composition, packaging, preservation, etc. Expiration dates are, for practical purposes, a rule of thumb, and a product may expire long before that date if it has not been stored and properly handled. Cruelty Free: makes us feel better because we are not purchasing products that are tested on animals. However, most ingredients used in cosmetics have at some point been tested on animals so consumers may want to look for no new animal testing, to get a more accurate indication. Next time you are shopping for natural cosmetics, read the label. Question the product. Is there scientific proof or clinical testing that can substantiate the product claims? Are you paying more because the product is labeled natural? Again, read the label and what natural ingredients do you see? The skin care product labels list the ingredients in the order of volume, therefore the ingredients at the top are the primary ingredients and the ones listed at the bottom are the least. Are the natural ingredients you are looking for like aloe Vera, essential oils, herbs, etc., listed at the top? Additionally, sensitive skin should avoid fragrances, alcohol, FD and C colors, mineral oil and formaldehyde, however, mineral oil is in almost all skin care products and the more you use it the drier your skin becomes. Unfortunately many women continue to have irritated, dry, scaly, itchy or blotchy skin and jump from one chemical cosmetic to another trying to find the cure. There are alternatives to better skin care: the first is to consider making your own skin care products, you can find toner recipes, facial cleansing, masks, peels and serums. The second alternative is to read the labels on your skin care product and know what you are applying to your skin. Is there scientific or clinical research that the product really works? Can you call the manufacturer and ask them for scientific data that proves the product claims what it says. If not consider products, you can read their product briefs, and they will provide you with scientific data to support their claims. It never fails to amaze me

Having a healthy glow to the skin is what most people want. However, not everyone is blessed with perfect skin. Many people rely on anti aging skin care products to achieve this look. As we age, this becomes even more important as our skin starts to develop lines and wrinkles.

To achieve a healthy glow to the skin, people should be using a skin care product that contains natural ingredients that help to restore the youthful look and feel to the skin.

Let’s take a look at why we need to use natural skin care creams. When we are younger, our bodies produce a healthy amount of vital skin proteins. These proteins keep our skin moist, pliable and textured. The proteins are collagen and elastin.

As we age, our bodies produce less and less collagen and elastin. Therefore, in order to get that healthy glow to the skin back, we need to stimulate the re-generation of these two very important proteins.

If more people understood this then they would stop using products that will not improve the look and feel of their skin. With that in mind, let me tell you about some ingredients that you should avoid. Many products use mineral oil because it is a cheap ingredient. It may make your skin feel soft, but it can clog your pores and lead to potential acne outbreaks.

Another ingredient to avoid is parabens. These are preservatives that give the product a longer shelf life. This allows the stores to keep it on their shelves until it is sold, thus making the cosmetic companies more money. If you truly want a healthy glow to your skin then you need to avoid products containing these ingredients.

Now, on to the ingredients you should be looking for in your skin care product. One of the best natural substances is Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10, which is a special form of Coenzyme Q10. This substance is a very potent antioxidant that works at restoring a healthy glow to the skin.

A natural substance that is one of the best at restoring the levels of collagen and elastin in your body is Cynergy TK. It has been clinically tested on human volunteers.

Skin Care Products – How Much Is Too Much?

The cosmetics industry is flooded with a range of skin care products that cater to an even broader range of skin concerns. There are eye creams, Vitamin C products, anti aging products with specialized ingredients like retinol, wrinkle lift formulations, skin lightening creams, firming lotions and so on. The list is just endless. And as women are growing more conscious about the way they look as we grow even older than before, the demand for these products is increasing like never before. In the quest to achieve a flawless and beautiful complexion, women end up using a every product they can lay their hands on. There is no questioning the powerful skin care benefits of these skin care products. They generally contain effective ingredients that help nourish the skin and correct any flaws. However, are all the products good for your skin? Are you overusing your skin care products? Just how much is too much? It should be noted that one of the prime causes of worsening skin conditions is that women end up using too many skin care products at once. This is obviously a wrong approach. It is important to first understand your specific skin condition and buy a couple of products that cater to your special needs and requirements. Instead of buying skin care products without knowing how your skin will react and loading them in your closet, it’s always better to make a more informed choice. Here are some tips… Avoid Mixing Too Many Products At Once Mixing certain skin care products can be harmful for your skin. For example, Vitamin C and Retinol. Skin care products that contain Vitamin C help to reduce the production of melanin and thus lighten the skin tone. Inspite of its high prices, it is a very popular skin care product in the market. However, when used at the same time as Retinol (an effective wrinkle remover) it has the potential to harm your skin. This is because Retinol has low acidity like vitamin C. If they come in contact with AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) treatments, it can make the skin excessively dry and flaky. People with thin and sensitive skin could have worse reactions if these ingredients are applied together. Rather, Vitamin C based products should be applies along with certain anti aging formulations and Vitamin E products that enhance its efficiency..Maintain a Balanced Level Skin care products may contain several ingredients that can lead to problems when combined. They include preservatives in order to prevent decay and emulsifiers to help the product blend smoothly. These substances are important to maintain the pH level of the skin care product and facilitate easy absorption into the skin surface. However, the levels of these substances are balanced in the skin care products but if you use too many different kinds of products together at the same time, the balance would be inconsistent and these substances can take a toll on your skin. Buy Effective Products instead of Expensive ones There is a widespread misconception among people that the more expensive a skin care product is, the more effective it would be. However, this is not true. While buying skin care products, look at their ingredients and make a wise choice. Product Suggestions: Obagi C-Cleansing GelThis is a powerful cleanser that gently conditions the skin with Vitamin C and removes all signs of make-up, oil residues and accumulated impurities leaving your skin fresh and clean. iS Clinical Pro-Heal SerumThis is an amazing serum comprised of 15% Vitamin C, Vitamin E and vitamin A combined with powerful antioxidants and olive leaf extracts. It heals the skin and improves its integrity. Moreover, it enhances the skin texture and prevents damage by ultraviolet radiation from sunlight. It also includes 0.5% kojic acid that evens skin pigmentation and prevents the occurrence of acne. The zinc sulfate helps reduce inflammation. Kinerase LotionIt is an anti-aging and moisturizing lotion containing Vitamin C that improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and increases the skin’s capacity to retain moisture. It also contains Kinetin, a plant based agent that helps the skin retain moisture.

Dr. Marilyn Syrett is a renowned physician and nurtures a keen interest in skin care and the effectiveness of skin care products. She believes that every women has the right to healthy and flawless skin. She has also reviewed several products from popular brand names like Obagi, iS Clinical, Clinique Medical and so on.
